The trip outside of Hawkins is doing Sade Sink quite well. The Stranger Things actress is venturing more into the world of film and has landed her next role.
Deadline reports Sink has joined O’Dessa, the latest film from director Geremy Jasper. The project will be next for the very busy Sadie Sink, shooting this May in Croatia. She’ll work on this project before heading off to film Stranger Things Vol. 5, the final season of the hit Netflix series. The project comes from Searchlight Pictures.
Deadline reports O’Dessa is set in a “post-apocalyptic future and is an original rock opera about a farm girl on an epic quest to recover a cherished family heirloom. Her journey leads her to a strange and dangerous city where she meets her one true love – but in order to save his soul, she must put the power of destiny and song to the ultimate test.”
“We are so excited to be collaborating with Geremy again,” said Searchlight presidents Matthew Greenfield and David Greenbaum. “With O’Dessa, he brings extraordinary and visceral energy to a whole new cinematic landscape.”
Geremy Jasper is best known for his 2017 indie smash, Patti Cake$, which earned the filmmaker nominations at the Directors Guild of America and Film Independent Spirit Awards. Jasper will also serve as a writer for O’Dessa. For the musical film, original songs will be written and produced by Jasper and Jason Binnick.
As for Sink, she was last seen in The Whale, which earned a Critics Choice Award nomination for Best Young Performer.
