If you want to avoid being caught up in the carnage caused by titans tussling on the big-screen, then stay away from Sam Neill, because the veteran Jurassic Park actor has once again signed up to be surrounded by giant beasts in Legendary’s Godzilla x Kong sequel.
Per Deadline’s report Neill will join a cast headlined by Godzilla and King Kong, but with an equally impressive human line-up that features the returning Dan Stevens, alongside Kaitlyn Dever (The Last of Us), Jack O’Connell (Sinners), Delroy Lindo (Da 5 Bloods), Matthew Modine (Stranger Things), and Alycia Debnam-Carey (Apple Cider Vinegar).
The Monsterverse is in rude health at the moment, having banked $2.52 billion since it launched with Gareth Edwards’ 2014 Godzilla, while a second season of the hit Apple TV+ show Monarch: Legacy of Monsters is in the can, and last year’s Adam Wingard-directed Godzilla x Kong: The Empire grossed a franchise high $571 million worldwide.
At the time of writing there are no plot details, or even a title for the next monster-mash-up, but let us know what you think of the erstwhile Alan Grant joining the Monterverse by heading to our social channels @FlickeringMyth…
