According to Entertainment Weekly, Samuel L. Jackson is circling the lead role of Charles Jacobs in the upcoming adaptation of Stephen King’s 2014 novel Revival, which is to be written and directed by Josh Boone (The Fault in Our Stars).
Revival centres on Jacobs, “a charismatic, small-town preacher who begins experimenting with the supernatural using electricity after his wife and child are killed in an accident.”

Josh Boone is also attached to another King project, with the director set to helm the long-gestating adaptation of the post-apocalyptic epic The Stand. Jackson meanwhile has previously appeared in 1408 in 2007, and also stars in the upcoming adaptation of Cell alongside John Cusack.
