Samuel L. Jackson in talks to star in Tim Burton’s Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children

February 11, 2015 by Scott J. Davis

After a long career that has seen him work with some of the biggest directors in Hollywood, it looks as if Samuel L. Jackson (The Avengers, Pulp Fiction) will be able to cross another name of his list.

Deadline is reporting that Jackson is in talks to join Tim Burton’s latest project, Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children. The film, which is being produced by 20th Century Fox and Chernin Entertainment, would see Jackson portray a character called Barron, which could well be the film’s villain, but the specifics of the role have yet to be announced.

Eva Green stars in the film as the title character, alongside Asa Butterfield (Hugo). Jane Goldman (Kick Ass, X-Men: First Class) is adapting the script, based on the novel by Ransom Riggs.

Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children is set for a March 2016 release. Jackson can currently be seen in Matthew Vaughn’s Kingsman: The Secret Service, as well as returning as Nick Fury in Avengers: Age of Ultron, which is released in UK cinemas on April 23rd.
