Victor Fresco, the creator of cancelled Netflix comedy Santa Clarita Diet, says he would love to return for a fourth season.
Santa Clarita Diet starring Drew Barrymore and Timothy Olyphant, was certainly one of Netflix’s very best comedies, telling the tale of a woman who becomes a coherent zombie, with her husband helping to satisfy her bloody desire for human flesh.
Netflix cancelled the show after three seasons so while it seems like the show is over, creator Victor Fresco has told Lad Bible that he would love to make one last season somehow to finish things off right:
“That’s something I think we all would want to do if everyone was available. Emotionally, everyone on the show would love to do some kind of closure. We thought it would be fun to do a season with Joel and Sheila in the same boat – what that would look like. I feel like this would be better for us and better for our fans too.”

Unfortunately, it will likely never happen, not unless Netflix decides to bring the show back or Fresco can secure the rights to continue the series elsewhere. At least we still have three hilarious seasons to enjoy.
