American Horror Story star Sarah Paulson is set to lead the cast of Dust, a new horror-thriller in the works at Searchlight Pictures for Disney’s direct-to-consumer platforms.
“Sarah is an extraordinary artist and we are thrilled to be working with her again,” said Searchlight Presidents David Greenbaum and Matthew Greenfield, who previously worked with Paulson on 12 Years a Slave and Martha Marcy May Marlene.
Dust is being directed by Will Joines and Karrie Crouse from a script by Crouse, and will see Paulson starring as “a woman trapped by increasingly perilous dust storms who is haunted by her past encounters with a threatening presence and takes extraordinary measures to protect her family”.
