Scarlett Johansson, the star of Black Widow, says the movie deserves to be Marvel’s big summer 2020 movie.
While there won’t be an Avengers movie coming our way for a while – which feels odd after Infinity War and Endgame hit us in back to back years – the Marvel train keeps on rolling nonetheless.
In May of 2020, Scarlet Johansson finally gets her solo Black Widow movie and the actress is excited that her film will be Marvel’s big summer 2020 flick.
Speaking to THR in a recent interview, Johansson said: “The movie packs a big punch. If that slot is reserved for movies that pack a big punch, then we’re in a good, good space.”

Fans will be hoping that the movie doesn’t disappoint after such a long wait for it to materialise. It will be interesting to see how it fairs at the box office compared to other Marvel solo offerings of recent times.
Black Widow is being directed by Cate Shortland (Lore) and sees Scarlett Johansson reprising her role as Natasha Romanoff alongside Florence Pugh (Fighting With My Family) as Yelena Belova, O-T Fagbenle (The Handmaid’s Tale) as Mason, David Harbour (Stranger Things) as Alexei Shostakov/Red Guardian, Rachel Weisz (The Favourite) as Melina Vostokoff/Iron Maiden, and Ray Winstone (Sexy Beast) and Olivier Richters (The King’s Man) in as-yet-unrevealed roles.
