Deadline has broken the news that Fenix Studios, the production company headed up by F. Gary Gray (Straight Outta Compton, The Fate of the Furious) has optioned the rights to developer Ultra Ultra’s sci-fi action video game title Echo, tapping John Wick creator Derek Kolstad to pen the script for a big screen adaptation.
The game “follows the character En as she arrives at a vast and mysterious palace hidden in the depths of space. The palace creates copies, called Echoes, that study her and use her own actions against her.”
Here’s the launch trailer to the video game…
Gray is currently in post-production on the Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson sci-fi adventure Men in Black: International ahead of its release in June, while Kolstad has scripted John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, which is set to open in cinemas in May.
