The third season of The White Lotus has gained a couple of additions amid a minor change in the cast. First off, Deadline reports Scott Glenn (Daredevil) has joined the series while Julian Kostov (Shadow and Bone) is replacing Miloš Biković in the upcoming season.
Glenn will reportedly play a character named Jim who “may be slowing down physically but is still mentally sharp and a little cranky.”
Biković, meanwhile, left the show last Friday after HBO was criticized for casting him in the series after his alleged support of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Kostov has now been recast in the role, which will apparently be that of a Russian man.
The dark comedy series will book them all into a Thai resort, with creator Mike White hinting that this third season will explore “death in Eastern religion and spirituality.”
The White Lotus season three will see Natasha Rothwell (Wonka) reprising her first season role as Belinda with newcomers Leslie Bibb (About My Father), Jason Isaacs (Archie), Michelle Monaghan (Mission Impossible – Fallout), Parker Posey (Lost in Space) Carrie Coon (Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire), Dom Hetrakul (The Sky Without the Sun), Tayme Thapthimthong (Mechanic: Resurrection), Christian Friedel (Zone of Interest), Julian Kostov (Shadow and Bone), Morgana O’Reilly (Mean Mums), Lek Patravadi (In Family We Trust), Shalini Peiris (The Ark), Walton Goggins (Justified), Aimee Lou Wood (Sex Education), Sarah Catherine Hook (Impeachment: American Crime Story), Sam Nivola (Maestro), Patrick Schwarzenegger (Gen V) and Scott Glenn (Daredevil).
Filming is due to get underway in locations such as Koh Samui, Phuket, and Bangkok, Thailand, sometime in February.
