Given that Marvel Studios has decided to skip San Diego this year, it’s unlikely we’ll get any big reveals from the Marvel Cinematic Universe over the Comic-Con weekend, but Marvel’s Chief Creative Officer Joe Quesada did take a moment to discuss the upcoming Spider-Man reboot, teasing the new costume set to be worn by Tom Holland.
“It’s awesome. I’ve seen a lot of design work on the costume. I think there are elements of it that are going to blow people away, and they are going to go, ‘ah, that’s Marvel doing Spider-Man’.”
It will certainly be interesting to see what Marvel does with the new costume, as for all the film’s faults, the suit in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 was pretty impressive indeed…

Meanwhile, Quesada then went on to share his excitement about the opportunity to introduce Spider-Man into the MCU:
“It’s Spider-Man. What’s not exciting about that? I can’t imagine there’s a person on the planet Earth that can’t relate to some aspect of Spider-Man or Peter Parker and for all intents and purposes he is Marvel’s Mickey Mouse. He’s the icon of so much of what we have was built upon, so to create that movie along with our Sony partners is phenomenally exciting. I know Kevin Feige and his team have some great ideas. Some wonderful theories that we have all chimed in on.”
