Well, it’s been rumoured since we saw a flaming chain on some promotional artwork last month, and now it’s official: vengeance is coming to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., with Ghost Rider confirmed to make his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in the fourth season of the ABC series.
The news was announced at the conclusion of today’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. panel at the San Diego Comic-Con International, with the official site then revealing that Gabriel Luna (True Detective) has been cast as Robbie Reyes, the All-New Ghost Rider.
“Season 4 will unquestionably be the series’ biggest, most ambitious story yet, and it all begins with the introduction of one of our greatest legacy characters in Ghost Rider,” said Executive Producer/Head of Marvel Television, Jeph Loeb. “When the Spirit of Vengeance rides into S.H.I.E.L.D., it’ll change everything.”
