Variety has revealed that Searchlight Pictures has added Amiah Miller (The Water Man) and Bill Heck (I’m Your Woman) to its upcoming horror film Dust, starring alongside Sarah Paulson (American Horror Story), Annaleigh Ashford (Masters of Sex) and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (The Bear).
Dust is set in 1930s Oklahoma and follows “a woman who, during the region’s increasingly perilous dust storms, is convinced that a sinister presence is threatening her family.”
The film will be directed by Karrie Crouse and William Joines in their feature film debut. Crouse, who has written for HBO’s hit sci-fi series Westworld, is penning the script.
Miller is also known for her breakout role in 2017’s War for the Planet of the Apes as the trilogy’s rebooted version of Nova from the original film. Heck meanwhile starred as a supporting role in Netflix’s YA horror Locke & Key and recently appeared in FX’s The Old Man as well as the Ray Donovan feature film.
Production on Dust has begun in New Mexico with Alix Madigan and Lucas Joaquin producing.
