Cyanide Studio and NACON have announced the arrival of Season 7 to their tactical turn-based fantasy football game Blood Bowl 3. As is normal for a new season, the developers have introduced a plethora of new features, most noticeably is the arrival of the fearsome Norse team. Watch the new trailer below to meet the new team to take to the field.
The new Norse team comes from the bitter-cold land of Norsca, which is far to the north of the Old World. It is here where the Norse team learn their skills in melee, blocking and punching their way across the field. As well as their brute strength, the Norse team can also count on the skills of the versatile Valkyries for a bit more manoeuvrability, and the trusty beer boar who will trot onto the pitch to distribute beer to his teammates.
Other new features and changes to arrive with Season 7, include:
- New Star Players – The Swift brothers and the Dribl & Drull duo.
- Norsca Arena – A new game mode with related quests. This can be accessed via the Manager’s quest menu.
- Pitch special rules can be accessed from the admin tools.
- Inducements and Star Players can now be added in the Team Manager menu.
- View inducements and Star Players available during team creation via the ‘Details’ button.
- Manager progressions has been expanded to 150, with new free rewards available.
- Save team customisations, such as colours, patterns, logos, cheerleaders etc. as a template.
- Players can now choose alignment at team creation for Norse, Chaos Chosen and Chaos Renegades, with previews available of inducements.

There’s more to look forward to as Blood Bowl 2’s popular single-player mode, Eternal League, is on the way. From Season 8, the Eternal League will allow players to progress their teams ad infinitum by taking part in a number of themed competitions, themes include referee allowing cheating and perpetual blizzard within the stadium.
