Due to a scheduling conflict, Chris Evans has been forced to drop out of the cast of the Netflix film The Devil All the Time, but fear not as his Captain America and Avengers co-star Sebastian Stan has signed on to fill his shoes.
Directed by Antonio Campos (Simon Killer, The Sinner) and Donald Ray Pollock’s 2011 novel, The Devil All the Time takes place in Knockemstiff, Ohio, “a forgotten backwoods of this country – a storm of faith, violence and redemption brews.”
Stan will take on the role of a corrupt local sheriff, and stars alongside Tom Holland (Spider-Man: Far From Home), Robert Pattinson (High Life), Mia Wasikowska (Piercing), Bill Skarsgard (It), Mia Goth (Suspiria) and Tracey Letts (The Sinner).
Evans – who’ll be reuniting with Stan this April in Avengers: Endgame – recently signed on for the lead in Antoine Fuqua’s (The Equalizer) sci-fi thriller Infinite, and is also producing and starring in the Apple series Defending Jacob.
