Here’s some dicks you definitely can’t put in a box, because after watching the trailer for A24’s Dicks: The Musical, which is part Parent Trap, part musical, all penis euphemisms, you’ll be none-the-wiser about what to expect from the R-rated comedy.
Announced as the Midnight Madness Opening Night Film of the Toronto International Film Festival, Dicks: The Musical is directed by Borat‘s Larry Charles, and adapted by stars Aaron Jackson and Josh Sharp from their own original stage musical and screenplay, called Fucking Identical Twins.
They play businessmen and long-lost twins who hatch a plan to trick their separated parents, played by Nathan Lane and Megan Mullally, into getting back together. Billed as the first musical from A24, you can check out the trailer below…
Two self-obsessed businessmen (Jackson and Sharp) discover they’re long-lost identical twins and come together to plot the reunion of their eccentric divorced parents (Lane, Mullally), in this riotously funny and depraved musical from comedy icon Larry Charles.
Dicks: The Musical is set to open in U.S. theatres on September 29th.
