Sega has revealed that it is planning a “revival of major IPs” and the “reutilization of dormant” properties as part of its ‘Road to 2020’ business plans.
Gamespot is reporting that Sega did not go into any specifics as to which titles could be set for a comeback, but the publisher does have a host of popular IPs at its disposal, such as the likes of Altered Beast, Ecco the Dolphin, Golden Axe, Shinobi, Streets of Rage and Virtua Fighter to name a few.
While we await more details, Sega fans will soon be able to get their hands on a couple of new Sonic the Hedgehog titles in the retro-style Sonic Mania [watch the new gameplay trailer here] and Sonic Forces.
