Seth Gordon exits Uncharted movie

June 26, 2015 by Gary Collinson

It looks like Sony has suffered another setback with its plan to bring video game franchise Uncharted to the big screen, with The Wrap reporting that Seth Gordon (Horrible Bosses) has now vacated the director’s chair owing to a dispute with studio boss Tom Rothman over the creative direction of the project.

Uncharted has passed through the hands of several filmmakers including David O. Russell (The Fighter) and Neil Burger (Divergent), while Mark Wahlberg have been mentioned as potential candidates for the lead role of treasure hunter Nathan Drake. The most recent draft of the script has been Oscar-winner Mark Boal (The Hurt Locker, Zero Dark Thirty).
