Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions have released a trailer for Maya Forbes and Wally Wolodarsky’s comedy drama The Good House.
Based on Ann Leary’s best-selling novel of the same name, the film reunites Dave and The Ice Storm co-stars Sigourney Weaver and Kevin Kline and sees Weaver playing Hildy, a New England realtor avoiding her problems, who finds her life begin to unravel when she rekindles a romance with her high-school flame Frank (Kline).
The Good House follows Hildy Good (Sigourney Weaver), a wry New England realtor and descendant of the Salem witches, who loves her wine and her secrets. Her compartmentalized life begins to unravel as she rekindles a romance with her old high-school flame, Frank Getchell (Kevin Kline), and becomes dangerously entwined in one person’s reckless behavior. Igniting long-buried emotions and family secrets, Hildy is propelled toward a reckoning with the one person she’s been avoiding for decades: herself.
Joining Sigourney Weaver and Kevin Kline in the cast of The Good House are Morena Baccarin, Rob Delaney, Rebecca Henderson, Molly Brown, and David Rasche.
The Good House arrives in cinemas on September 30th.
