Variety is reporting that Silicon Valley’s Thomas Middleditch has signed on for a supporting role in the upcoming zombie comedy sequel Zombieland 2: Double Tap.
Filming on the sequel to the hit 2009 comedy is underway now, with Venom director Ruben Fleischer reuniting with original stars Woody Harrelson (Tallahassee), Jesse Eisenberg (Columbus), Emma Stone (Wichita) and Abigail Breslin (Little Rock).
In Zombieland: Double Tap, “the zombie killers must face off against new kinds of zombies that have evolved since the first movie, as well as some new human survivors. They have to also face the growing pains of their own makeshift family.”
Details on Middleditch’s role are being kept under wraps, as they are with fellow new additions Rosario Dawson (Luke Cage), Zoey Deutch (Flower) and Avan Jogia (Now Apocalypse).

Zombieland: Double Tap is set to reunite director Ruben Fleischer with screenwriters Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick and original stars Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone and Abigail Breslin, while Rosario Dawson (Luke Cage), Zoey Deutch (Flower), Avan Jogia (Now Apocalypse) and Thomas Middleditch (Silicon Valley) have joined the cast. The film is set for release on October 11th 2019.
