With concerns about the coronavirus outbreak spreading around the world, many film and television projects and events have been affected in recent weeks including cancellations of major premieres in China and release date delays for No Time to Die and Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway.
Additionally, the Christopher McQuarrie-directed Mission: Impossible 7 has also been affected by the epidemic with Paramount previously revealing production has halted in Venice, Italy due to the Italian local government putting a stop to all public gatherings.
Now, in a recent interview with CinemaBlend, one of the stars of the Mission: Impossible franchise, Simon Pegg, who plays Benji Dunn, has revealed his thoughts on the recent delay to the three-week shoot in Italy.
“We’ll get back to it when the time is right and everyone’s really excited. It’s a setback, but it’s a necessary one to make sure that everyone is safe and not contribute to the ongoing crisis. Whenever we’re back at it, I’m ready to go. It’s going to be fun.”
