Following last year’s NES Classic Mini, it seems that Nintendo are gearing up for a 16-bit version, with rumours suggesting that a SNES Classic Mini is slated for release later this year.
According to Eurogamer, the SNES Classic Mini is the reason that Nintendo has decided to discontinue the NES Edition despite its popularity, and that it is expected to launch in time for Christmas. As with the NES Classic, it will stick with the plug and play setup and come with a range of preinstalled games.
