After an enormous fan backlash against the design for the iconic video game character following the launch of the first trailer, Paramount Pictures announced that it would be pushing back the release of the Sonic the Hedgehog live-action movie in order to rework the look Sonic, with director Jeff Fowler stating that: “The message is loud and clear… you aren’t happy with the design and you want changes. It’s going to happen. Everyone at Paramount and Sega are fully committed to making this character the BEST he can be.”
Well, it seems we may now have our first look at the redesign, with two allegedly leaked images surfacing on Twitter which – if genuine – are sure to leave fans happy, given that the character looks incredibly accurate to the video game source material.
