Sony has announced that Holland Roden (Teen Wolf), Indya Moore (Pose), Thomas Cocquerel (The 100) and Carlito Olivero (Step Up: High Water) have been cast alongside the previously announced Isabelle Fuhrman (Masters of Sex) in the sequel to this year’s hit psychological horror Escape Room.
As we revealed back in September, Logan Miller and Taylor Russell are also set to reprise their roles from the first movie in the follow-up, which will see Adam Robitel returning to the director’s chair and Bragi F. Schut back on scripting duties.
Escape Room followed six strangers who find themselves invited to take part in a mysterious escape room with a $10,000 prize, only to find themselves in a maze of deadly rooms, where they have to use their wits to survive. The film grossed $156 million around the world, from a budget of just $9 million.
Plot details for Escape Room 2 are being kept under wraps, but Sony has dated the sequel for release on August 2020.
