The summer of 2026 will see plenty of Tom Holland. Not only is the actor set to star in Christopher Nolan’s mysterious new project, but now the 2026 summer release slate has another movie starring Holland: his fourth outing as Spider-Man.
It’s been confirmed that the actor will take up the mask and web-shooters again, and this Destin Daniel Cretton-helmed project has pencilled in a July 24, 2026 release date.
Holland’s return as the webslinger should come as no surprise, given his popularity as the character and the reported influence he has had on the development of this story. Meanwhile, Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings filmmaker Cretton joined the sequel back in September.
The last time we saw Holland as Spider-Man, the 2021 film Spider-Man No Way Home became the seventh highest-grossing movie at the global box office, with $1.95 billion. It’s also the third highest-grossing movie of all time at the domestic box office, with $814.8 million. It’s reported that the three Tom Holland Spider-Man Sony-Disney Marvel Studios movies have grossed $3.96 billion alone.

As expected, Amy Pascal and Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige will return as producers. This marks the first entry in this new set of films without director Jon Watts, though. Watts is being replaced by another Marvel filmmaker, Shang-Chi’s Destin Daniel Cretton, whose first effort in the MCU grossed $432.2M at the global box office.
Stay tuned for more updates on the blockbuster-filled summer of 2026.
