Today is Spider-Man Day, and Marvel Studios has marked the occasion by sharing the official logo for Spider-Man: Far From Home, next year’s Phase Four-launching superhero blockbuster, and the sequel to 2017’s Spider-Man: Homecoming.
Meanwhile, it it has been rumoured that Jake Gyllenhaal has been cast in Spider-Man: Far From Home, as the villain Mysterio. This would be the first big screen appearance for the famous Spidey villain, and many felt that Gyllenhaal would be perfect casting.
Time has passed however and no confirmation has emerged about this potential casting, but now the actor posted an interesting picture on Instagram. Gyllenhaal can be seen in London alongside makeup artist Donald Mowat, who has worked with Gyllenhaal on numerous projects. What is big about this news however is that Far From Home is in fact filming in London, which seems to suggest that Gyllenhaal could be in town to shoot his scenes as Mysterio in the Spidey sequel.
