Phil Lord, one of the producers of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, has teased the upcoming sequel.
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse was a huge hit for Sony with the film impressing both fans and critics, as well as winning the Oscar for Best Animated Feature. The movie did so well that a sequel has been ordered, coming our way in October 2022.
While that’s a rather long wait, producer of the movie Phil Lord shared a tease on Twitter when participating in a Watch Party for the original film. As expected, he didn’t give anything away but excitement is certainly building:
“We were reminded several times today NOT to say anything about it. I guess they know we can’t be trusted. All I can say is… worked on it all day yesterday and had a ball. Watching this got me pumped for all the surprises in store for 2022.”

Matching the success of the first film will certainly be difficult but with so much goodwill behind it, audiences will be eager to give the movie their full support.
