If you didn’t stuck around during the end-credits for 2018’s amazing Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, then you might be unaware of the fact that Oscar Isaac voiced Spider-Man 2099 for a sting that hinted at where a sequel to the Best Animated Film Oscar winner might be headed. Well, an announcement from the film’s official Twitter account appeared to all but confirm the fact.

The images used in the Tweet were taken directly from the end-credits sting, which you can watch below. They depict Spider-Man 2099, or Miguel O’Hara to his friends, who lives in a future New York called ‘Nueva York’, where he attempts to recreate the abilities of the original Spider-Man in other people, but suffers an accident which causes half of his own DNA to be spliced with that of a spider’s genetic code. There is no word yet as to whether Oscar Isaac will reprise his role.
