By now you’re probably sick of hearing about the tangled web of box-office records that Spider-Man: No Way Home has obliterated since it swung into cinemas in December. Well, this next one’s a biggie, because the trilogy-capping superhero blockbuster has just surpassed Avatar to become the third highest-grossing domestic film of all time, with $760.9M.
It’s unlikely to web-crawl any higher, with Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($936M) and Avengers: Endgame ($858M) occupying the first and second place, but with the overriding caveat being the uncertainty of the world in which it was released, becoming the third highest-grossing film in domestic history is a huge milestone.
Spider-Man: No Way Home currently sits at $1.8B at the worldwide box-office, minus China, where the film is unlikely to ever get a release.
For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero is unmasked and no longer able to separate his normal life from the high-stakes of being a Super Hero. When he asks for help from Doctor Strange the stakes become even more dangerous, forcing him to discover what it truly means to be Spider-Man.

Smoove (Mr. Dell), Hannibal Buress (Coach Wilson), Jamie Foxx (Electro), Alfred Molina (Doctor Octopus), Rhys Ifans (Lizard), Thomas Haden Church (Sandman), and Willem Dafoe (Green Goblin).
