The 2017 European Film Awards were presented in Berlin last night, with the satirical Swedish comedy-drama The Square following up its Palme d’Or success at Cannes by taking home six awards in Best European Film, Best Director (Ruben Ostlund), Best Actor (Claes Bang), Best Screenwriter (Ostlund), Best Comedy and Best Production Designer (Josefin Asberg).
Other big winners included Alexandra Borbely (Best Actress for On Body and Soul), Loving Vincent (Best Animated Feature) and Lady Macbeth (Discovery Award). Check out a full list of the winners here…
