Star Trek: Discovery is now in production, and the show has added three new actors to its cast as Starfleet officers. The latest cast members are Sneaky Pete‘s Terry Serpico, 30 Rock‘s Maulik Pancholy and The Following‘s Sam Vartholomeos.
Serpico will play Admiral Anderson, a high ranking Starfleet official, while Pancholy and Vartholomeos will portray Dr. Nambue and Ensign Connor respectively of the starship U.S.S. Shenzhou.
These are just some of the latest casting announcements in the last few weeks. It wasn’t long ago that Gotham‘s James Frain was revealed to be Spock’s father Sarek, while The Walking Dead‘s Sonequa Martin-Green was cast in December as the series lead.

Also starring in the series is Michelle Yeoh, Doug Jones and Anthony Rapp as crew members of the U.S.S. Discovery while Chris Obi, Shazad Latif and Mary Chieffo will play their Klingon antagonists.
