Star Wars: The Force Awakens is officially the most anticipated film of 2015

December 30, 2014 by Alfie Nobes

It will come as no surprise to anyone that Star Wars: The Force Awakens is the most highly anticipated film of 2015, according to a survey conducted by Fandango.  The first chapter of Disney’s Star Wars Sequel Trilogy has snuck ahead of other feature films like Avengers: Age of Ultron, Jurrasic World and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2.

Surprisingly there are a few big name films which didn’t quite make the Fandango cut, James Bond’s latest entry SPECTRE and the upcoming Mission: Impossible 5 amongst them. Obviously time will only tell who the real winners of 2015 will be as the survey itself only takes into account 1,000 fans over a week-long period.

Entertainment Weekly has quoted Fandango chief correspondent Dave Karger stating, “It’s been a decade since the last installment of the most beloved sci-fi fantasy franchise of all time, and kids of all ages are eagerly anticipating the revitalization of the series next December.”
