Star Wars Rebels actor is hopeful of Ezra’s return

March 28, 2018 by Samuel Brace

The actor behind Ezra Bridger in Star Wars Rebels has “high hopes” for the character’s return.

The climax of Star Wars Rebels was certainly eventful, particularly for the show’s main character, the young Jedi known as Ezra. Beyond a confrontation with Emperor Palpatine, Ezra also faced off with Grand Admiral Thrawn, with the two ultimately being propelled through hyper space to an unknown location.

Ezra’s fate is uncertain but Taylor Gray, who voices the character, has told Hidden Remote that he is hopeful that the Jedi will be seen again:

“I think it was a great sacrificial ending and it wrapped up the story; Lothal is safe and Ezra became whole as a Jedi and learned the way of the Jedi through selflessness. I have high hopes for him to return – he’s grown into a formidable Jedi and we know he’s out there somewhere amongst the Purrgil in deep space.”

While the mystery of Ezra’s location might remain unsolved for a while, fans will be hoping that either in comics, books, or another animated series, the character will show up once again.
