In 2001, Lucasfilm launched Star Wars: The High Republic, a publishing initiative spanning books and comics (and later expanding into television with Star Wars: The Acolyte and Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures) and set in an all-new era of the galaxy far, far away several centuries prior to the Skywalker Saga.
Well, as announced at Star Wars Celebration in Japan on Friday during the Lucasfilm Publishing: Stories from a Galaxy Far, Far Away… panel, The High Republic storytelling initiative is set to draw to a close this summer as Marvel Comics releases Star Wars: The High Republic – The Finale: The Beacon #1, a one-shot comic from writer Cavan Scott and artist Marika Cresta.
