DC IS THE FUTURE, OR THE PAST?
In some rather interesting DC news, a producer has revealed that their upcoming solo movies will feature both flashbacks and flashforwards to further build upon the DCEU. “For example, the Justice League movie will take place in a universe that’s post-Batman v Superman, just like Batman v Superman takes place in a universe that’s post-Man of Steel,” Charles Roven revealed. “When we’re dealing with either The Flash or Aquaman, since they will take place in a universe that has happened after Justice League, the characters and the world will be informed by the movies that preceded them, except that there’s flashbacks or whatever within those particular movies, [and] flashforwards within those particular movies”. AQUAMAN SCENES
Following on from that, Justice League director Zack Snyder released a behind-the-scenes image of Jason Momoa underwater as Aquaman. You can see that image here.
After giving us our first look at Thor: Ragnarok, we’ve now got an official plot synopsis which tells us what we can expect from the upcoming MCU film. “When we last saw Thor, he was flying off to figure out who was manipulating the Avengers at the end of Age of Ultron. Eventually, he hears rumblings of trouble in Asgard: His evil brother, Loki (Tom Hiddleston), has been impersonating their missing father, Odin (Anthony Hopkins). Loki’s rather lax governing leads to the reemergence of an imprisoned Hela (Cate Blanchett). Thor’s initial encounter with Hela gets him blasted to Sakaar, a barbaric planet ruled by the charming but nefarious Grandmaster (Jeff Goldblum). Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), a tough, hard-drinking warrior hiding out on Sakaar brings the god to the Grandmaster.” You can read even more of that story here.
