Some concept art for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker has revealed a new look at the language of the Sith.
One of the coolest parts of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker was getting to learn more about the history and lore of the Sith. In the film, Rey and the team find a Sith dagger which is covered in Sith writing they need to get translated in order to achieve their goal.
We have now gotten another great look at this mysterious language that caused C-3PO to need his memories wiped. Thanks to an Instagram post by Lucafilm artist Matthew Savage, we have our hands on some cool concept art of Sith scrolls:
“Here’s a few Sith Scrolls concepts, designed and eventually not needed for Rise of Skywalker. All the sith language elements were handle by The awesome graphics team.”
The Rise of Skywalker did a pretty awesome job of revealing some new details about the Sith, of course, culminating in an epic visit to a pretty scary Sith planet called Exegol. It’s probably safe to say that we haven’t seen the last of these villains.
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker sees J.J. Abrams (Star Wars: The Force Awakens) directing a cast that includes Star Wars veterans Daisy Ridley (Rey), Adam Driver (Kylo Ren), John Boyega (Finn), Oscar Isaac (Poe Dameron), Lupita Nyong’o (Maz Kanata), Domhnall Gleeson (General Hux), Kelly Marie Tran (Rose Tico), Joonas Suotamo (Chewbacca), Billie Lourd (Lieutenant Connix), Greg Grunberg (Snap Wexley), Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), Anthony Daniels (C-3PO), Billy Dee Williams (Lando Calrissian), Ian McDiarmid (Emperor Palpatine) and Carrie Fisher (Leia Organa) as well as new additions Naomi Ackie (Lady Macbeth), Richard E. Grant (Logan), Dominic Monaghan (Lost), and Keri Russell (The Americans).
