The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Stark Sands (Inside Llewyn Davis) has secured the lead role in FOX’s upcoming TV sequel to the 2002 sci-fi Minority Report, with Meagan Good (Think Like a Man) has also signed on to the cast.
The site reports that the series “takes place 10 years after the end of Precrime in Washington, D.C., and centers on one of the three Precogs who struggles to lead a “normal” human life, but remains haunted by visions the future, when he meets a detective (Meagan Good) haunted by her past, who just may help him find a purpose to his gift.”
Sands is set to portray the dual role of the precogs Dashiell and Arthur, who were played by Michael Dickman and Matthew Dickman in the film. Also featuring in the cast are Li Jun Li and Laura Regan, along with Daniel London who reprises the role of Wally the Caretaker.
The Minority Report TV series has been written by Max Borenstein (Godzilla), who will also executive produce alongside showrunner Kevin Falls (The West Wing).
