Sterling K. Brown sure is making a lot of headlines lately. Following his Emmy win for American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson and his role on the critically acclaimed NBC drama This Is Us, the actor has been setting his sights on several high-profile big screen projects.
He recently joined the cast of Marvel’s Black Panther movie, and threw his hat in the ring to play John Stewart in the upcoming Green Lantern Corps. film. Now, he’s officially jumped aboard another upcoming tentpole: Shane Black’s reboot of The Predator.
According to THR, Brown will play “a government agent who jails [Boyd] Holbrook’s ex-marine character, but later needs his help with the Predators.”
Brown joins a growing ensemble cast that includes Holbrook (Logan), Trevante Rhodes (Moonlight), Keegan-Michael Key (Key & Peele) and Olivia Munn (X-Men: Apocalypse).
Directed by Shane Black (Iron Man 3, The Nice Guys), The Predator is currently gearing up for production, and is currently set for release on February 9, 2018.
