Variety is reporting that director Steven Soderbergh is to his work with HBO to bring new project Mosiac to the small screen.
Described as a “choose your own adventure” show, the story will have multiple scenarios and plot points that will see the production shoot on a variety of different locations to film all of the different ways the story can continue.
Oscar nominee Sharon Stone (Casino) is set to star in the show, with Garrett Hedlund (Inside Llewyn Davis) also sought out for a role.
In a statement, Soderbergh said: “I believe the good people at HBO are genuinely enthusiastic about Mosaic for two reasons: first, it represents a fresh way of experiencing a story and sharing that experience with others; second, it will require a new Emmy category, and we will be the only eligible nominee.”
Mosaic is one of a few projects that Soderbergh has been involved with on the small screen, with his hospital drama/thriller The Knick about to start it’s second season. HBO also transmitted his film Behind The Candelabra in 2013, which stars Michael Douglas and Matt Damon.
