The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown has signed on to star in an adaptation of Ali Benjamin’s acclaimed Young Adult novel The Thing About Jellyfish, which is to be directed by Kenyan filmmaker Wanuri Kahiu (Rafiki).
The film will see Brown taking on the role of seventh grader Suzy, who becomes convinced that a rare jellyfish sting is responsible for the death of her best friend in a drowning accident. Retreating into a silent word of her imagination, she hatches a plan to prove her theory.
