One of the many projects that had its production schedule affected due to the ongoing global health crisis was the fourth season of Netflix’s Stranger Things, however, one star from the show has claimed things are looking promising in returning to filming.
When speaking to the Associated Press, Maya Hawke, who plays Robin Buckley, revealed it is “looking incredibly likely” that production could resume in September.
“It was looking incredibly likely, we’ll see,” Hawke said. “We’re taking it sort of day by day with all of this stuff and trying to wait for cases to go down to make sure we can go into it in a safe way. Netflix is being really responsible, and so is SAG, with their actors and their whole crews in trying to make sure their people are safe. We’re just sort of taking it day by day and waiting for the right moment and everyone is dying to go back to work.”
Although the latest season is still yet to resume filming, the creators of Stranger Things, Matt and Ross Duffer, have previously confirmed the sci-fi horror series will continue beyond its upcoming fourth season with the end already mapped out.
“Season four won’t be the end,” said Ross Duffer. “We know what the end is, and we know when it is. [The pandemic] has given us time to look ahead, figure out what is best for the show. Starting to fill that out gave us a better idea of how long we need to tell that story.”
