A little over a week after Succession‘s third season premiered, HBO has announced the show will live on as they have given an early fourth season renewal after the premiere drew in record numbers for HBO Max.
Succession‘s third season premiere had 1.4 million viewers across all platforms. It was not only the most watched episode of Succession‘s three seasons, but the most watched premiere night of any HBO series since HBO Max launched last year.
“With each season of Succession, Jesse Armstrong has continued to surpass our wildest expectations, pulling us deeper into the Roy family’s inner sanctum with indelible wit, humanity, and precision,” said Francesca Orsi, HBO’s Executive Vice President of HBO Programming. “This season is undoubtedly no exception, and we couldn’t be more excited for all that’s in store in this next season ahead.”
