More Suicide Squad members to be introduced in Arrow season 3

September 8, 2014 by James Garcia

According to Entertainment Weekly, Arrow‘s version of the Suicide Squad, which includes characters like John Diggle, Deadshot, Bronze Tiger, and Shrapnel, will gain a few more members this season. When speaking about Diggle’s role this year, EW stated…

“Speaking of A.R.G.U.S., I hear there will be new faces joining the Suicide Squad this season.”

So, who could join the ranks of Arrow‘s criminals-turned-mercenaries? We saw a Harley Quinn Easter egg last season, but have since heard that DC has other plans for the character, so she’s not likely to show up in a larger capacity. With Deathstroke in A.R.G.U.S. custody, there’s a very good chance that he could join the ranks for a particularly dangerous mission. There are plenty of villains headed to Arrow‘s sister show, The Flash, so there’s always a chance that someone like Captain Cold, Plastique, Heat Wave, or Girder could make the jump from one show to the other.

There are also plenty of DC Comics characters to choose from that haven’t been seen on the small screen yet. Colonel Rick Flag is certainly a possibility, along with other staple members King Shark and Captain Boomerang.

Hopefully, whoever they end up introducing helps bring us that much closer to a Suicide Squad spin-off! Tell us, who would you like to see join the Suicide Squad on Arrow this year? Sound off in the comments below.

Arrow returns for its third season on Wednesday October 8 on the CW.
