SEGA has today announced the launch of Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD on Xbox One, Playstation 4 and Nintendo Switch. Originally released on the Wii back in 2006, Super Monkey Ball will provide players with plenty of single player levels, multiplayer fun, self-aware monkeys and, for the first time ever, Sonic the Hedgehog as a speedy special guest. Check out the game’s launch trailer below…
Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD brings this classic title back to life with updated graphics and optimised controls. Players will be able to work their way through 100 single player stages or join up with their friends in 10 mini-games.
The game features:
- Completely revamped control scheme and updated graphics for a visually attractive gaming experience.
- 100 twisty-turny courses to race through as either one of our little monkey friends or Sonic the Hedgehog.
- Join up to three friends in 10 new party games.
- An online leaderboard allowing players to compete with others around the world.
What game lets you play as a bunch of self-aware monkeys (and Sonic the Hedgehog) stuck in spheres as they speed around 100 twisting courses suspended in mid-air?
Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD is available now, both digitally and physically, on Xbox One, Playstation 4 and Nintendo Switch. A Steam release is planned for this winter.
