Bossa Studios has announced that they will be providing Surgeon Simulator 2 to NHS staff for free until 22nd October as part of their new initiative, NHS: National Handout of Surgeon Simulator (NHSNHSS). Surgeon Simulator 2, the sequel to the popular 2013 physics-based medical game, is available to all NHS staff with an active NHS email by visiting here.
Surgeon Simulator 2 features all the physics-based surgical entertainment of its predecessor and also includes a brand new co-op multiplayer mode that allows would-be surgeons to join up to three other surgeons to take on all manner of delicate operations ranging from heart transplants to limb replacements. Players will also be able to embark on a new journey into medical negligence with a new story mode that features new operations to attempt as they explore a mysterious medical facility.
Bossa Studios will also be supporting North Lincolnshire NHS Trust with a Surgeon Simulator 2 speed run event with real doctors and hospital staff. This will be a special stream (taking place here) on 15th October and will raise money to improve the MRI facilities.
“We’re very grateful to Bossa Studios for helping us with our charity gaming stream to raise money for the Health Tree Foundation’s Improving MRI At Grimsby for Everyone (IMAGE) Appeal,” said Kris Weavill, Diagnostic Systems Coordinator, Northern Lincolnshire and Goole Hospitals NHS Foundation.
If you work for the NHS and have an active NHS email then download Surgeon Simulator 2 for free before 22nd October. If you don’t work for the NHS then purchase the game for the bargain price of £19.99/$24.99 from the Epic Games Store.
