Deadline is reporting that Rocky and The Expendables co-stars Sylvester Stallone and Dolph Lundgren are teaming up for a new action drama series which will be headlined by Lundgren, with Sly executive producing.
The project has been written by Ken Sanzel (Numbers) and sees Lundgren portraying a covert operative at the Department of Safety and Security at the UN [who] is described as the UN’s secret special agent, a one-man S.W.A.T. team and hostage negotiator.
Sanzel will serve as showrunner on the pilot for the as-yet-untitled series, which has apparently drawn interest from Fox, CBS, NBC, Netflix and Apple after being pitched this past week. In addition to executive producing, Stallone may also potentially direct the pilot.
