Action icons Sylvester Stallone and Jackie Chan are teaming up for the action thriller Ex-Baghdad, an $80 million budgeted Chinese production, which is being directed by Scott Waugh (Need for Speed).
The official synopsis for Ex-Baghdad reads: “When a China-run oil refinery is attacked in Mosul, Iraq, a Chinese private security contractor (Chan) is called in to extract the oil workers. He learns, however, that the attackers’ real plan is to steal a fortune in oil, and teams up with an American former Marine (Stallone) to stop them.”
Stallone can currently be seen in theaters as Stakar in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, while Chan has recently completed filming on Journey to China: The Mystery of the Iron Mask, which saw him appearing alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger.
