If you were excited about the prospect of seeing Sylvester Stallone back as John J. Rambo in the planned TV series Rambo: New Blood, then I’m afraid you may be disappointed…
Although it was initially reporting that Stallone would reprise the role of Rambo (and serve as executive producer) for the series, which would centre on the relationship between Rambo and his son.
However, a spokesperson for Sly has ruled out his involvement, telling Deadline that: “Contrary to reports, Sylvester Stallone has opted not to participate in the planned Rambo television series in any way at all.”
The site reports that Fox had bought the project on the assumption that Stallone would be on board, and it seems without him the planned series may be dead in the water.
So, perhaps we might still get Rambo: Last Blood after all…
