Action legend Sylvester Stallone (Rocky, The Expendables) is swapping his boxing gloves and automatic weapons for bread, as he is set to team up with British bakers Warburtons in a new advert set to air later this year in the UK.
Website Bakery Info has revealed that Rocky will be the new face of the bread makers, and will star in their new advert.
“In a power-pairing of bakery meets Hollywood,” Bakery Info’s Bronya Smolan writes, “the 68-year-old is set to be the face of a new TV advertising campaign, after filming at one of Warburton’s bakeries this week.”
The news comes after Stallone took to the jumbotron screens at Goodison Park on Monday to speak to Everton supporters as some of his crew filmed crowd scenes for his new Rocky spin-off, Creed.

“Sly doesn’t come cheap,” an anonymous bread boss reportedly told The Sun, “and he isn’t an obvious choice to promote bread – but he is bound to get people talking.”
In addition, local newspaper The Pontefract & Castleford Express has said over the last couple of hours that Stallone recently “took part in filming at the company’s bakery in Whitford”. Further, Stallone’s set to “give a talk at Sheffield City Hall on Sunday”.
Will Stallone be the “toast” of the town, or with his appearance be mouldy? We will find out later in the year.
