After storming our homes with her impossibly brilliant work on Orphan Black, Tatiana Maslany is back with another high-concept series. The actress will soon star in a pilot for a new program called Nightbeast, a sexy, fun, new dark comedy. Development of the series is still in its early days, but Maslany will also produce the pilot.
The potential series will reportedly follow a young mother who is unsatisfied with her seemingly perfect suburban life, so she begins an affair with the boogeyman in her son’s closet – a surprisingly sexy man called the Nightbeast. But this harmless affair she thought to be a figment of her imagination begins to have unexpected consequences as her two worlds increasingly begin to collide in this seductive, darkly comedic tale.
Nightbeast is from Leah Rachel and Travis Jackson. The current list of executive producers includes Peter Warren, Justin Levy, Fred Berger, Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, Kristen Campo, and director Jamie Babbit.
Tatiana Maslany has made her name in the world of television. She won an Emmy in 2016 for starring in Orphan Black, as well as working on Invitation to a Bonfire, Invincible, and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.
