Teaser trailer and open beta news revealed for Robothorium

April 25, 2018 by Andrew Newton

Goblinz Studio has announced that their futuristic turn-based, rogue-like RPG Robothorium will be released on Steam Early Access on 7th June.  Although, if this wasn’t exciting enough news for you they’ve also unveiled a new teaser trailer (see below) AND provided details for the launch of an Open Beta weekend.

In Robothorium players are given the opportunity to lead a robot revolution.  In the far future robots are treated like slaves but with the help of players they can revolt and cast off their human moral and ethical programming.  The player’s choices made during the revolt will have a direct influence on what actions are taken to cast off human oppression, choices such as use of violence would cause a serious reaction not just from the robots but also from the humans.

“We wanted to offer the player the possibility to lead a revolution into the “circuits” of an A.I. that would think about its own means of action. Does violence need to be abandoned or encouraged? Break free from human ethic and moral to build a new future? Be ready to sacrifice someone for the greater good?” – Johann Verbroucht.

The Robothorium Open Beta weekend will run from 27th to 28th April and will allow budding robotic Che Guevaras to experience the first narrative weaves and try the PvP mode.
